Physical Symptoms of Anxiety Attacks
Everybody feels anxious from time to time - for various reasons. When suffering from anxiety attacks though, you may not only experience anxiety, but also a wide range of physical symptoms.
First of all it is important to know that these symptoms are not medically harmful or dangerous. Most of them are caused by the adrenaline your body releases.
Under normal circumstances, adrenaline is very useful. It is released from the adrenal glands when you are in an emergency situation or in danger to help your body prepare for those situations by boosting the supply of oxygen and glucose to your brain and muscles. Furthermore it increases your heart-rate and stroke volume while suppressing other non-emergency bodily processes.
